Iceland Green Tour

Hansa Green Tour organized the Iceland Green Tour from 13 – 16th January 2019. An international networking tour for sustainability professionals that wanted to learn from geothermal initiatives at Iceland. A large delegation of 44 Dutch energy professionals joined our geothermal energy tour. Geothermal energy in Iceland is the most important sustainable source of energy. In other countries around the world geothermal energy could also play an important role in the energy transition towards more sustainable energy. For the Netherlands using geothermal energy for heating homes, district heating and industrial heat could be very interesting. What could we learn from Iceland?

To find out we visited many Iceland partners and projects with the great help of the Iceland Geothermal cluster.

For an impression of the Iceland Green Tour you can watch the video documentary below that was made from this very interesting journey.
